Made by Luxxica
For 640 East Wood Wharf, London

My first sketch was a sphere attached to a piece of wood holding a wine bottle. I searched for a log that would fit with the bottle and sphere but couldn’t find the right one. One day, while walking around the Wood Wharf area, I discovered a log whose shape I loved and it inspired me to create my own sculpted version.

"I want the sunrise and sunset elements to reflect the shift from morning coffee to evening wine, and I chose wood to refer to the story of Wood Wharf."
This wine holder customised to reflects 640 East’s dual identity, from morning coffee to evening wine. Its spherical form symbolises the sun, with colours that capture both sunrise and sunset. The base, inspired by a reclaimed wood log found in Wood Wharf, echoes the area’s timber heritage. Together, the piece celebrates the venue’s warm transformation from day to night
